Making sure natural language usage is clarified.
When a website developer is marking up natural language in a web site document, braille devices & speech synthesizers can automatically switch to the new language, making the website more accessuble to a multilingual user. The predominant natural language of the content of a website should be identified through the markup of headers or HTTP. Also, if acronyms or addreviations are used, the developer should also provide expansions of these. In addition to helping the assistive programs, the natural language markup also allows key words to be found by search engines in a desired language. The use of natural language markup also improves comprehension of websites for all users, including those with learning disabilities, or deafness.
