Utah Passes Do-Not-Email Registry
Known as the Child Protection Registry Act, this law bans marketers from emailing promotional content to children — content that is considered to be harmful to younger ages such as alcohol, gambling, etc.
A number of organizations have already filed suit against the new legislation. Some say it could do more harm than good if the email list fell into the wrong hands.
The Utah courts will hold a hearing on Nov. 9th to move things further.
