How to Setup Your Email with Your Email Program

There are 2 Ways of Checking Email:
- WebMail
- Your Email Program on your Computer
How To Use Webmail:
- Goto http://yoursite.com/webmail
- Login using your username (same as your email address - yes, with “@yoursite.com” in it)
- You’re In. You can create emails, read emails, etc. Webmail can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.
How to Setup Your Email Client Program:
- Go into your account settings. For Microsoft Outlook users this is usually Tools -> Accounts, then select your Email address and click properties.
- You need you fill in your Username (sometimes called Account Name). This will be your full email address.
- Type in your password in the passsword box. Usernames and password ARE CASE SENSITIVE.
- Incoming Mail Server (POP) is mail.yoursite.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) is also mail.yoursite.com
- You’re Done, Try sending a real email to yourself.
*Do not use Microsoft Outlook’s Email Test Function - It’s not reliable.* - Effect Web Media utilizes aggressive spam filters. When an email is marked as spam, the phrase “[SPAM]” will be added to the subject of the email. If you’d like you’re email program to instantly disregard emails marked as spam, create a filter. Set it to delete any message with “[SPAM]” in the subject.
