The market is saturated with the Yahoo-type Stores and 19.95$ / m shopping carts. They are everywhere. People come and go very quickly because it takes little to start an ecommerce store. The keyword being “start”. It’s  most people dream to start their own business — thats why there’s so much of that kind of product (cheap website solutions) out there.  It’s no wonder small business owners are surprised.

Where are the success stores with these types of solutions? Generating a few thousand dollars a month seems like the limit to these types of solutions.

Your online business is not the same as many other businesses out there. The system that facilitates your online business - when it’s a well-oiled machine, won’t be the same as many of websites’ ecommerce systems either.  We first need to figure out how you need your online systems to work.  Our ecommerce system  has a core that is geared towards all and more of the benefits you listed: ease of use, expandability, search engine potential, etc..   The other part of our ecommerce system that is rewarding is the customizabilty. No two implementations of our system is the same. The clients each have specific and optimized systems in place and they need the website to seamlessly integrate into them. — Not the other way around.  The “other features” are whatever you want them to be.

We do have the ability to integrate with USPS. The cart is also capable of having product families, multiple images, product gallery, tracking of what users search for within your website, etc. There are many many features. Many of which you may not care about because they don’t fit into your specific online business model. Other features, you’ll like.

The cart can integrate with any credit card processor. The checkout process is only 3 steps — the third being “Thank you for your order”. By cutting down steps, we get more customers through. The checkout process also lets customers see their order contents and fill out their information at the same time. It validates the form fields on the fly rather than going back and forward pages.  The ecommerce system development is one-time.  We strongly recommend meeting and working together at least once a month to review progress, sales, features, tracking,etc, to keep it moving forward.

The cost may be more, it may be less. I believe where we need to start (while the tracking data is gathered) is figure out how should the online business system should work.. Maybe the best way to do that is by asking  if you would lay out -  from the start to finish, the entire process of a customer landing on the homepage to order fulfillment to customer follow-up. What features need to be in place for you to sell your specialized product, complete orders, ship orders, communicate with customers, save time, etc?
